Position Overview

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the company’s tax compliance and reporting functions. You will be responsible for ensuring that all tax-related activities are executed efficiently and in accordance with legal requirements. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation a plus but not required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.

  • Proven experience with corporate and individual tax returns and tax planning.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and prepare complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and requirements.

  • Conduct detailed tax research and provide expert advice on tax planning strategies.

  • Review and analyze financial statements to identify tax implications and opportunities.

  • Coordinate and manage audits with external tax authorities and ensure timely resolution of any issues.

  • Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to optimize tax efficiency.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and proactively adjust strategies as needed.

Work Environment:

This is a professional office environment, and this role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
